Please familiarize yourself with our Terms of Use, Training Policies, and the preceding Privacy Policy before using this site, registering for, or making a payment for any course. Using this site implies that you fully understand and accept all Utah Firearm and Security Training, LLC (“Utah FAST”) policies and all our terms.

Data Collected

PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION

We may collect personal information in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to when you register as a user on this site, subscribe to a newsletter, fill out any form, make a purchase, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, first and last name, mailing address, phone number, email address, location, or other information. We only collect this information if a user voluntarily submits such information to us. You can always refuse to supply personal information, except that it may prevent you from engaging in certain site-related activities.

NON-PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer or mobile device, and technical information about the User’s means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service provider utilized, as well as other similar information.

REGISTRATION & LOGIN DATA

If you register on our website, we store your username, email address, and any additional personal information you add to your user profile. You can view, edit, or delete your personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit this information. If a User chooses to create an account or log in using a social media account, we collect the user’s public profile data only with the consent that the user grants before initiating a login from the social network used to log in to our website. This data includes your first name, last name, email address, link to your social media profile, unique identifier, and social profile avatar. This data is used to create your user profile on our website. You can revoke this consent at any time from your profile page on our website or by emailing us.

PURCHASING DATA

We require this to provide you with purchased products, content, tickets for training courses, downloads, product support, and other customer services.

FORMS

Information submitted through the contact form on our website is sent to our company email, which is hosted by Google. These submissions are only kept for customer service purposes; they are never used for marketing purposes, shared with, or sold to third parties. Forms to schedule appointments are done through Calendly.

Comments & Reviews

When visitors or users leave comments on the site, we collect the data displayed in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to assist in spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also known as a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to determine if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy. After your comment is approved, your profile picture will be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Reviews are imported and automatically displayed from the source where it was created, through a third-party Trust Index. See their Privacy Policy for more information.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS

We use Google Analytics on our site to anonymously report site usage. No personalized data is stored. If you would like to opt out of Google Analytics monitoring your behavior on our website, please use this link: Google Analytics Opt-out.

This site uses cookies – small text files that are placed on your machine to help the site provide a better user experience. In general, cookies are used to retain user preferences, store information for features such as shopping carts, and provide anonymized tracking data to third-party applications like Google Analytics. Cookies generally exist to enhance your browsing experience. However, you may prefer to disable cookies on this site and on others. Who Has Access To Your Data

If you are not a registered user of our site, there is no personal information we can retain or view regarding you.
If you are a registered user, the personal information you have provided can only be accessed by our system administrators.

Third-Party Access To Data

We do not share, trade, rent, or sell your data with third parties in any way to reveal any of your personal information, such as email, name, address, etc.
We may share generic, aggregated demographic information, not linked to any personal identification information, regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates, and advertisers.
We may use third-party service providers to assist us in operating our business and websites, such as sending newsletters or surveys. We may share your information with these third parties for those limited purposes, provided that you have given us your permission.

How Long Do We Retain Your Data

When you request support, its metadata is retained until (if) you tell us to remove it.

For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except for their username, which cannot be changed). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to automatically recognize and approve any follow-up comments, rather than holding them in a moderation queue.

Security Measures

We use SSL/HTTPS throughout our site. This encrypts user communications with our servers, ensuring personal information is protected from unauthorized access.
In the event of a data breach, system administrators will immediately take all necessary steps to ensure system integrity, contact affected users, and attempt to reset passwords as needed.

Your Data Rights

If you have a registered account on this website, you can request the personal data we retain, including any additional data you have provided to us. You can also request that we delete any personal data we have stored. This does not include any data that we are required to retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes. In short, we cannot erase data that is vital to your being an active customer (i.e., basic account information, such as a username or email address).
If you wish to have all your data erased, you can do so by contacting us to request the deletion of your account. If you delete your account, we will no longer be able to offer any support or other product-related services to you. As a result, you will immediately lose access to any special content, membership benefits, and user-level pages.

Third-Party Websites

Users may encounter links to third-party websites on this website, including advertising or other content that links to the sites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors, and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites, and these third-party websites are not screened for privacy or security compliance; you release us from any liability for the conduct of these third-party websites.

All social media sharing links, either displayed as text links or social media icons, do not connect you to any of the associated third parties unless you explicitly click on them.

Please be aware that this Privacy Policy, along with any other policies in place, and any amendments, do not create rights enforceable by third parties or require the disclosure of any personal information relating to members of the Service or Site. Utah FAST bears no responsibility for the information collected or used by any advertiser or third-party website. Please review the privacy policy and terms of service for each site you visit through third-party links.

Release Of Your Data For Legal Purposes

At times, it may become necessary or desirable to Utah FAST, for legal purposes, to release your information in response to a request from a government agency or a private litigant. You agree that we may disclose your information to a third party where we believe, in good faith, that it is desirable to do so for a civil action, criminal investigation, or other legal matter. If we receive a subpoena that affects your privacy, we may elect to notify you to allow you to file a motion to quash the subpoena, or we may attempt to quash it ourselves; however, we are not obligated to do either. We may also proactively report you and release your information to third parties where we believe it is prudent to do so for legal reasons, such as when we suspect that you have engaged in fraudulent activities. You release us from any damages that may arise from or relate to the release of your information to a request from law enforcement agencies or private litigants.

Any passing on of personal data for legal purposes will only be done in compliance with the laws of the United States, the state of Utah, and/or the state in which you reside.
